Richland Springs First Christian Church CWF Meeting
Thursday, May 21, 2009 • Posted May 21, 2009

On Wednesday evening, May 6, 2009, the members of the Richland Springs First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) CWF met for their monthly meeting in the fellowship hall of the church. Before the business meeting we were served by Martha Bush, Christy Crisp and Vicki Eden. At 6:55 p.m., president, Georganna Sonnenberg called the meeting to order.

She asked Vicki Eden to read the minutes of the April meeting. Those were approved by all. Bobbie Adams was then asked to give the treasury’s report. That report was also approved by all.

There was no old business to discuss. New business discussed: Georganna stated that she would like to take the summer off from having a study at our meetings and start a new one in September. Everyone was in favor and we will pick up our study in September with the women of the early years of the church.

Georganna reminded us all of the work day that we have planned at the church for Saturday, May 9, 2009. The church will be providing lunch and everyone is invited to come and spend the day with us fixing up and cleaning up around the church in preparation for the baccalaureate service that the church will be hosting for the graduating seniors of Richland Springs. We planned Wednesday, May 20, 2009 for a practice day for the baccalaureate service and the CWF will be providing a lunch for the seniors that day. The baccalaureate service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. The CWF will provide cookies and punch for the reception following that service.

We scheduled two fellowship dinners for this summer. The first will be on June 7, 2009 and the other is planned for August 23, 2009.

Our next meeting will be June 3, 2009. Scheduled to serve at the June meeting is Bobbie Adams, Sue Williams, and Georganna Sonnenberg.

Attending this May meeting were Bobbie Adams, Vicki Eden, Amanda Sonnenberg, Winnie Shannon, Martha Bush, Sue Williams, Paula Shannon, Georganna Sonnenberg and Christy Crisp.
