Dillos Pony Team wins 2 big games against Mason and Brady

On May 12th the Dillos traveled to take on Mason. This game started out super for the Dillos with Sean Argote, J.T. Mathis, Ryan Guidroz, Micheal McKinnerney, and Russell Lowe all scoring in the 1st inning. On defense the Dillos did not let up getting the first 3 batters 3 up 3 down. Going into the 2nd the Dillos had a 5-0 lead.

The scoring continued for the Dillos in the 2nd with Jordon Watson, Russell Lowe, Kolton Ellis, Dallas Caldwell, Sean Argote, and J.T. Mathis all scoring. This gave the Dillos a comfortable lead 11-0 in the middle of the 2nd inning. The Dillos again held Mason scoreless in the bottom of the 2nd.

The Dillos were unable to get anymore runs across the plate in the next 2 innings but held Mason to only 1 run in the next 2 innings ending the game 11-1 by the 10 run mercy rule.

J.T. Mathis pitched 2 innings striking out 3 batters only walking 1 and giving up no runs. Sean Argote pitched 1 inning, striking out 1 and walking 2, giving up no runs. Micheal McKinnerney pitched 1 inning, walking 1 and giving up 1 run.

On May 14th the Dillos traveled to take on Brady. The Dillos started out hot once again scoring 9 runs in the 1st inning. S. Argote scored twice, J.T. Mathis, R. Guidroz, M. McKinnerney, R. Lowe, D. Caldwell, D. Sloan, and J.T. Holland all scored in the 1st. Brady did not score in the 1st.

Entering the 2nd inning the Dillos had a 9-0 lead. R. Lowe, D. Caldwell, D. Sloan, and J.T. Holland scored for the Dillos in the 2nd. Brady however scored 3 runs. After 2 innings the Dillos had a 13-3 lead. In the 3rd R. Lowe, K. Ellis, D. Caldwell, and J.T. Holland scored 4 more runs for the Dillos. Brady also scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. After 3 innings the Dillos lead 17-7.

The Dillos were unable to score in the 4th and only gave up 1 run ending the game 17-8.

Micheal McKinnerney pitched 3 innings, had 7 strike outs, 5 walks but gave up 7 runs. Kelan Verette pitched 1 inning, with 1 strike out and gave up only 1 run. These were 2 outstanding games for the Dillos.

The Dillos will be participating in a tournament in Mason on Friday, May 22 at 7:45 p.m. and then again on Saturday, May 23. If you can come out and watch the boys play I know that you would enjoy the game. GO DILLOS!
