The San Saba County Historical Museum Foundation will hold its annual meeting at 2:00 p.m. this Sunday, May 17th at the Museum in Mill Pond Park.

After a brief business meeting, there will be a program honoring the life of San Saba native Charles T. McDowell. A new exhibit highlighting his accomplishments will be unveiled. After the program, refreshments will be served and you may view the exhibits, and visit.

This will also be an opportunity for all members and anyone interested in becoming involved with the museum to see all the changes made this year. The interior has had a fresh coat of paint. New display cases and some new construction have allowed the curators to create new exhibits and rearrange others so as to better tell the story of San Saba County.

Being a member of the Museum Foundation provides the necessary financial support needed to provide the proper showcase and care for the many items of San Saba History entrusted to the Historical Museum. Not only is the history preserved for our youth, but each year these items are viewed by travelers from all across Texas, the country and the world.
