Craigan Johnson

Craigan Johnson, 80, of San Saba, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009 in San Saba. He was born July 17, 1928 in San Saba Texas, the son of Irby Marcus Johnson and Emma Sutton. On May 1, 1954 Betty Ann Ellis and Craigan Johnson were married at the Presbyterian Church in Sloan Community. He worked as a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Gideons, and Masonic Lodge. Craigan was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of San Saba. He was on the Board of Directors of City National Bank. He also served on the Board at Howard Payne University and Southern Baptist Convention.

Craigan is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Johnson of San Saba; his mother, Emma Johnson of San Saba; his son, Tommy Johnson and his wife, Marianella of San Saba; his daughter, Phyliss Johnson of Austin; his grandchildren, Heath Johnson of Houston and Ross Johnson of Austin; his brother, Jerry Johnson and his wife, Eleanor of San Saba; his sister, Connie Taff and her husband, Tommy of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Craigan is preceded in death by his father, one sister, Joyce Hallmark, and one nephew, Craig Hallmark

Services were held Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of San Saba with Rev. Sam Crosby officiating. Interment followed at Rock Shoals Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of San Saba.
