Thursday, May 14, 2009 • Posted May 14, 2009

Mission San Saba is again making plans for its annual Extreme Makeover. It will be the 6th year for local volunteers to remodel a home for a deserving family in the local community. The address for this year's project is 403 N. 8th Street.

Organizers, Jack and Donna Blossman, are sending out the call for volunteers for the week of June 7-13. Also needed are donations of materials along with meal preparations.

The 2008 video of Mission San Saba is available for any individuals or organizations wanting to see what actually goes on during the mission work. Anyone interested can call Donna or Jack at 623-5429.

Three fund-raising events are planned. On Saturday, May 16th, Kevin and Margie Keeney are generously donating all car wash proceeds to Mission San Saba. Organizers encourage everyone to wash their cars on that Saturday! On Saturday, May 23rd, there will be a rummage sale and on Sunday, May 24th, the CMA will be serving brisket sandwiches on the square after church.

A Mission San Saba fund is set up at the City National Bank for anyone wanting to contribute to this worthwhile endeavor. Everyone from high school age and above is invited to work on the team. It will prove to be a hard, fun, and very rewarding week. For additional information, donations or contributions of any kind, contact Donna at 623-5429.
