Dear Editor,

My name is Spencer C. Carlisle. I am the president of the San Saba Chapter of the Texas Youth Football League. We are already getting geared up for the 2009 season. So far we have had one fundraiser and made around $400.00. We are planning 3 to 4 more fundraisers for this summer. Hopefully the fundraiser will be a success because we have some huge plans for that money. We will be getting the registration forms out in the next week to the schools and some businesses in town for pick up. Since in the last couple of years with more teams joining the league the price of operations have gone up. Unfortunately, that means that the registration price has also gone up; BUT with good support with the fundraisers we have a plan to try to refund a portion if not most of the entry fees back to the parents. But to receive a refund the registration fee and the form MUST be turned into either myself or Eric Morgan. We will be the only people in San Saba authorized to accept them. If you mail your entry fee to the head office in Brownwood we will not be able to refund any money once it hit's the main office for this is a special promotion that is only for San Saba. Forms turned in to anyone in San Saba besides Eric Morgan and myself will not be recognized by the league.

We are in negotiations with KBAL radio right now to get the games aired live on the radio every Saturday. That way if you have relatives out of town that cannot get to the games they can listen to them on the internet. We are also trying to get more games to be played in San Saba this year and possibly the first round of the playoffs will be played here.

For any questions you might have feel free to contact me at 372-8784 (cell) or 372-3190 (home) or contact Eric Morgan at 325-320-5655 (cell).

Thank You,

Spencer C. Carlisle - San Saba
