The Lady Dillo Golf Team captured 3rd place in the 2009 Regional Tournament played April 20th and 21st at Ratliff Ranch Golf Links in Odessa. The Lady Dillos, led by Shelby Hardy played well, defeating all of the region except for Wall and Kermit. The Ladies played about an average of 360's for most of the year. It was commendable that they were able to play on a strange golf course. Nina Paredez, Nikki Lindsey, Taylor Smith, Johna Reavis and Shelby Hardy all played hard and should be commended for representing San Saba High School Golf so well.

Shelby Hardy shot one over 73 on Monday. She trailed two Wall girls by 3shots after the first round. On Tuesday, Shelby shot even par 36 on the front nine. On the second 9, she put on a real golf clinic shooting 32, 4 under par on the back for a 68 to tie for the lead. The back 9 included an eagle and 3 birdies with only one bogey. Shelby and Kendra Whitley from Wall tied for first. Kendra won a one hole play-off. They will continue to duel in Austin May 11th and 12th at Roy Kizer Golf Course.
