Remember “Relay for Life” that will be held in San Saba, Saturday night. It starts at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Baptist Church for Elizabeth Austerman. Elizabeth was a wonderful young lady and will certainly be missed by all. We extend our sympathy to the Austerman Family.

A group of children from Cherokee Home for Children along with the Morrison’s and Duggan’s went to Waco Saturday to walk in a race to raise money for muscular diseases.

Doug and Cyndi Suggs went to LaPorte last weekend because their granddaughter was in the Miss Sylvan Beach pageant. She was voted Miss Congeniality. They also spent time with Monica and Sam Baisden, Tiffany Suggs, Jeff and Payton Suggs. They ran into some rain while there. It was knee deep so they brought it with them. Isn’t it great!

Elaine Perry had surgery in a Fort Worth Hospital this week. Elaine is the Mother of Chris Perry.

Gary Ray had gallbladder surgery in Llano last week. He is doing well.

We had great rains in the Cherokee and San Saba area last Monday. Many tanks were filled.
