Thursday, April 30, 2009 • Posted April 30, 2009

On Wednesday, May 13th, The Extension Education Clubs of San Saba County will host their annual MAY EVENT at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall located at 204 W Brown Street.

Each May, the Extension Clubs provide the Community a day of presentations on a wide variety of informative topics. This year’s program will include: Substance Abuse Prevention & How it Effects a Community presented by Missy King; Quilt Magic presented by Stacie Lantrip & Melissa Rupe from Susie’s Quiltin’ Quarters in Brownwood; and Small Space Gardening to Attract Wildlife presented by Horticulturist, Melissa Sturdivant.

The day will also include a display of the artistic projects completed during the past year by Extension Club members; a silent auction, door prizes, and a covered dish luncheon served by the Extension Club members.

Registration for the day will be from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. and the first speaker will begin soon after. If your schedule does not permit you to spend the whole day, you are welcome to come for the talks that most interest you. Donations will be accepted to offset the expenses of the event. For more information contact the San Saba County Extension office at 325-372-5416.
