The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met at the home of Pat Ribb for games on February 21, 2008 due to windy winter weather. Bobbie Churchill, Jo Ann Snow, Dorothy Sterner, Jo Anne Hardy, Sandee Hartley, Hattie Rogers, and Nell McHorse were present for the fun and fellowship. The ladies had lunch together and I understand the big winners of the day were Sandee and Nell.

This week I would expect the ladies to get in a round of real golf. Spring is in the air!

Our Varsity and Junior Varsity boys and girls teams are ready to make a mark for San Saba. We anticipate a great year for our high school golf teams. When you see the young people on the course, encourage them and let’s support our youth.

In the mean time, us old timers had better keep on “swinging!”
