The fee will be $25.00 at the door for those who do not pre-register. A catfish lunch will be provided by Betty Ann and Tommy Johnson.

An excellent slate of speakers have been selected by the Pecan Committee. Scott Anderson, CEA Brown County, will cover Laws and Regulations, Bob Whitney, CEA Williamson County, will discuss Pecan Diseases. Bill Ree, Extension Pecan Entomologist, will provide Pecan Integrated Pest Management and Dr. Larry Stein, Extension Horticulturist, will discuss general orchard management. Time will be made available for you to visit with these sponsors of the Pecan Field Day. Capital Farm Credit, PPI/Southern Nut’N Tree, Dow AgroSciences, Savage Equipment, Inc., Lawson Implement, Heartland Crop Insurance, and Womack Nursery are those we know of at this time.

Seven Continuing Education Units are being offered for those with Private, Commercial, or Non Commercial Applicator License. ( 3 General, 2 IMP, 2 L&R) This annual educational effort by the San Saba Pecan Growers has been well attended for many years. Plan to attend and invite someone with an interest in the Pecan industry. Please pre-register by April 27th. This will enable Mrs. Johnson to better prepare for lunch.
