On Thursday, April 9th the 7th and 8th grade boys competed in the district track meet at Bangs. These young men should be congratulated on the fine job. Both teams made huge improvements in time and distance from the previous meet, and they should be commended for their outstanding performance. Every one of them competed to the best of their abilities and as coaches we were very proud of them. With their attitude and willingness to work hard they will become better track athletes and better athletes over all. The 8th grade boys finished 3rd and the 7th grade boys finished 6th. These kids were battling adverse weather conditions and good competition and they showed great heart and competitive desire. This was our final meet of the year and I believe these kids should be commended on their excellent effort throughout the track season. We would also like to thank all of the parents for their support of San Saba Track this season. Because of the positive attitudes, continued improvement, and community support, we feel we have a bright future in San Saba Track, and we look forward to seeing these young men compete next year!!
