The Wallace Creek EE Club holds April meeting

The Wallace Creek Extension Education Club met Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Wallace Creek Clubhouse.

President, Lynn Blankenship called the meeting to order. Afterwards the members answered the roll call, "What is your favorite healthy food." There were no minutes from the previous meeting. Imogene Hawkins gave the treasurer's report.

The council report was given by Lynn Blankenship. The ladies attended the District 7 Meeting in Brady. The May Event will be held on Wednesday, May 13, at the Methodist Church. Each club in the county will have an assignment to do for the event. The May Event luncheon will be covered dish, donations will be appreciated, three programs will be presented, a silent auction, a display of the member's Cultural Arts and fellowship.

Wallace Creek EE Club will have their annual Ice Cream Supper on June 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the lawn of the clubhouse.

Carolyn McDowell gave the program on chocolate. Did you know chocolate was a fruit? About 70% of the chocolate is grown in the rain forest of Africa. Dark chocolate is good for you. She exhibited some of the chocolate products and explained the benefits of the different products.

Imogene Hawkins served refreshments to Lynn Blankenship, Doris Cates, Jackie Doner, Noma Fitzgerald, Carolyn McDowell and Lucy Wilson.

There will be no May meeting.
