Arnold Martinez, 68, of San Saba passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Scott and White in Temple. Arnold was born May 17, 1940 in Big Valley, Texas, the son of Doroteo Martinez and Socorro Jimenez Martinez. On January 6, 1972 Arnold Martinez and Dolores Morales were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He worked as a Medication Aid. He attended the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Dolores Martinez of San Saba; his sons, Ray Martinez of Mineral Wells, Billy Martinez and his wife, Cindy Anne of Mineral Wells; Javier Martinez and his wife, Christina of San Saba; Juaquin Martinez of San Saba; Pilar Rosales and her husband, Jesus of San Saba; his grandchildren, Dominic Rosales; Dylan Rosales; Daniel Rosales; Javier Alan Martinez; Charles Martinez; Tabatha Martinez; Kristen Martinez and Summer Johnson; his 2 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Abram Martinez of San Saba; Rumaldo Martinez and his wife, Emmalinda of San Saba; Daniel Martinez and his wife, Sue of Kekalb; Phillip Martinez and his wife, Juanita of Brownwood; his sister, Herminia Rojas and her husband; David of San Saba, and several nieces and nephews.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Services were held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Cesar J. Guzman Diaz officiating. Interment followed at Big Valley Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba County Volunteer EMS.
