Wesley Wayne Hardman

Wesley "Wayne" Hardman, 75, of Brownwood, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008. He was born August 13, 1932 in the Holt Community, the son of the late Wesley and Mattie Hardman.

Wayne moved to Brownwood in 1972 from the Holt Community. He was a retired fireman for the City of Brownwood and worked a number of years for Davis-Morris Funeral Home as an assistant. Wayne worked the past five years as an assistant for Netherton Funeral Home. He was a Baptist and a member of Indian Creek Masonic Lodge #807.

Survivors include three brothers: James Hardman and wife, Frances, of Houston; Alvin (Dink) Hardman of Houston; and Harold Hardman and wife, Grace, of Richland Springs; a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Louie Hardman, Frank (Soap) Hardman and R.C. Hardman; as well as two infant sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 25, 2008, and were under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home in Brownwood.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
