Fact or Fiction

Now to clear up some of the misconceptions about the Primary Election:

1. Yes, you may vote either Republican or Democratic in the Primary election, but only one or the other in this election, March 4, 2008. - FACT

2. In the General Election held in November, you can vote for either party or vote for whom you choose, no matter how you voted in the Primary Election.

Example: You may vote Republican for President and Vice President, and democrat for Sheriff. - FACT

3. This is very important - There is a new law if you do not have your voter registration, you must have some other form of identification such as: driver's license, birth certificate, U.S. passport, etc. Even if you know the people at the polling place, you still must have an ID of some kind to vote. - FACT

4. You can only vote in the Precinct that you are registered in or you can vote early. - FACT
