On Tuesday, March 7th the Lady Dillos played the Lady Dragons of Bangs. It was a rough night at the plate for the Lady Dillos who only managed 2 hits for the game. Whitney Key and Brittany Moreno came up with those hits. Bianca Dawson started on the mound for the Lady Dillos and was relieved by Tarah Crosby. Crosby only surrendered 2 runs over the final 4 2/3 innings. The Lady Dillos lost 11-1 in five innings.

The JV was also in action on Tuesday. Amanda Saldivar started in the circle for the JV and pitched two strong innings before being relieved by Kristen Jordan. The JV defense played well only committing one error on a tough ball hit to the outfield. The JV bats got started early by scoring 5 runs in the first two innings. However, Bangs tightened up and did not allow another run to score. Ashley Pulatie, Bianca Dawson, Bekah Bush, Amanda Saldivar, and Marisela Zapata had hits for the JV. Bangs was able to push runs across the plate late to make the final score 13-5 in favor of the Lady Dragons.

On Thursday, March 9th the Lady Dillos traveled to Brady to play the Lady Bulldogs. Bianca Dawson got the start in the circle and was relieved by Tarah Crosby. Errors and walks spelled trouble for the Lady Dillos. We gave up 11 runs in the first 3 innings and were playing catch up the rest of the game. The Lady Dillos did mount a rally but it was to late. Brady won the game 18-12. Tarah Crosby led the way on offense by going 4 for 5 with 3 RBI’s. Ashley Pulatie went 3 for 5, and both Kaitlin Bode and Bianca Dawson went 2 for 4. Dawson also had 3 RBI’s. Katy Davis and Brittany Moreno also picked up hits.

The JV was in action on Thursday against Brady as well. Ashley Pulatie pitched for the JV and threw five great innings only surrendering 5 runs, four of which were earned. Samantha Henry, Courtney Pryor and Kristen Jordan made fantastic plays on defense. The JV only committed one error on defense. Both teams played well the entire game, but Brady edged us out in the bottom of the 5th, 5-4. Ashley Pulatie, Paige Faught, Kristen Jordan, and Bianca Dawson all had multiple hits for the JV.

The Lady Dillos are in action on Tuesday, March 14th versus Early at home and then on the road to Comanche on March 20th. I hope to see you at the ballpark. GO LADY DILLOS!!!
