Sharon Lee was in the hospital with pneumonia recently. She is home now and doing well.

Maude Ann Kuykendall hosted the ladies from the Church of Christ and town at the new house for Ladies Night Out. We had lots of good food and fellowship. We also found out things about each other that was quite shocking.

There has been a group of Sojourners on the Cherokee Home campus working for the last two weeks. Many things have been built, repaired and cooked. They are all so helpful to the children and staff.

Last Thursday two groups of Barber Shop singers entertained the staff, children and Sojourners at the Cherokee Home campus.

The Hill Country Antique Car Association was on the Cherokee Home for Children campus last Saturday. All the children got to go on car rides in the cars and a lunch was served.

A group of 4-6 graders competed in a Bible Bowl competition in San Angelo last saturday.

Delton and Valerie McGuire went to Dallas to watch Travis their son perform in a musical recital. He sings opera, leads singing at church and teaches music while in college.

Fran Holcomb is home from the hospital. Fran is doing better.

Ed Shelton fell last week and was taken to the hospital. Luckily he did not break any bones.

Cherokee ISD is always striving to improve our mission educating children in our community. In order to dothat more effectively, we need feedback from everyone in our community. We have set up three surveys on our website (http://cherokee.centex-edu.net/survey.htm) in order to obtain this feedback. There is one for the parents of children in our district, one for the community members that may not have had or currently have children in our district (this is every adult not currently a parent to a child in our district), and a financial survey for both parents and community members.

We ask that you only fill out the survey one time. Deadline for complete surveys is April 24.

If you know someone who would like to fill out a survey but does not have access to the internet, they may call Cherokee ISD 325-622-4298 and ask that a survey be mailed to them.

If you have news, please drop it off at the Cherokee Grocery or send it to sroad@centex.net

Please pray for our country! Any suggestions to improve our survey, please e-mail Chris Perry, Cherokee ISD Superintendent at perry@cisd.centex-edu.net
