Lady Dillo Softball Report

On Tuesday, March 31st the Lady Dillos traveled to Coleman to play the Lady Bluecats. It was a rough afternoon for the Lady Dillos, who came up short 18-1. Tuesday’s game was a game that saw base hit after base hit find the gaps in the outfield. The Lady Dillos defense committed only two errors, while Coleman put up 15 base hits. Katy Davis was the starting pitcher with Bianca Dawson, and Tarah Crosby also seeing action. It was a slow day on offense with Bekah Bush collecting a single, and Tarah Crosby hitting a solo homerun in the 1st and a single in the 5th inning.

On Friday, April 3rd the Lady Dillos traveled to Dublin to play the Lady Lions. Bianca Dawson started the game and was relieved by Tarah Crosby. The Lady Dillos fell into a hole early, but attempted to rally late in the game. It was too little too late as the Lady Dillos lost 16-6. The bats were cold early on in the game, but came alive late in the game. Ashley Pulatie, Tarah Crosby, Kaitlin Bode, and Amanda Saldivar all 1 hit. Kristen Jordan and Katy Davis collected two hits apiece. Pulatie and Jordan had 1 RBI apiece, while Davis and Saldivar each had 2 RBI’s.

The JV was also in action on Friday versus Dublin. Amanda Saldivar and Ashley Pulatie pitched for the Dillos. Bianca Dawson, Ashley Pulatie, Paige Faught, and Silvia Jimenez collected hits. Faught and Pulatie had RBI’s for the Lady Dillos. The JV came up short 17-6. It was a great defensive ballgame by the JV. The Lady Lions kept coming up with base hits.

The Lady Dillos face Bangs at home on April 7th and travel to Brady on the 9th. I hope to see you at the ballpark. GO LADY DILLOS!!!
