Pairett and McIntosh compete in State Power Lifting Meet
Thursday, April 2, 2009 • Posted April 2, 2009

On Saturday, March 28th two members of the San Saba High School Power lifting team competed in the State Power Lifting meet in Abilene for the first time in school history. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments this week and their accomplishments throughout the year. If you see any of these lifters, please congratulate them on their awesome performance at the State meet.

The two state qualifiers are Bobby Pairett in the 198lb. weight class and Tyler McIntosh in the 275lb.weight class. These two young men definitely deserve a great deal of credit for the way they battled at the state meet. I cannot express what a joy it is to coach these young athletes throughout the power lifting season.

These two young men deserve a great deal of credit because they are one of the top 12 strongest young men in their respective weight classes. It is a huge accomplishment for a lifter to make it to the state meet, it really says a lot about these two young men.

We are extremely proud of the other Dillo lifters that qualified for the state meet and competed well. The Dillo lifters are continually working harder and bettering their totals each and every week and we are extremely proud of their performances.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to each lifter on the San Saba Power Lifting team this year for their hard work and determination, and I would also like to express my thanks to the community, the school district, our wives, and the other coaches for their support of these lifters and this program throughout the year!

We look forward to seeing the bright future the Dillo power lifting team has in the years to come.
