San Saba Lady Dillo Golf Team wins 2nd tournament victory - School & Sports - San Saba News & Star

The San Saba Lady Dillo Golf Team will be riding on a two tournament win streak as they head into the first round of district golf this Wednesday at the San Saba River Golf Course.

The Lady Dillos captured their second tournament victory last week at the Comanche Invitational held at PAR Country Club.

San Saba’s team total of 373 took First Place over Baird’s 381. Goldthwaite came in third.

As a medalist, Shelby Hardy is also on a two tournament win streak, firing a 3 under par 69 to take First Place Medalist honors. Coming in second medalist was Alexis (Alex) Neal of Baird, who shot a 77.

As a side note, Alex’s older sister, Kyla, was the teammate of Shelby’s older sister, Chasity, at Baird when they won State Golf Championships from 1998 to 2001. It was a reunion for the family’s of this next generation. Golf truly is a family sport.
