Lady Dillo Track Report
Thursday, April 2, 2009 • Posted April 2, 2009

The Lady Dillos didn’t bring home as much hardware as we did from Mertzon but nevertheless we competed well against much stiffer competition and the biggest opposition of all- MOTHER NATURE!!! It was very cold in the morning and the wind blew all day which hurt our Lady Dillos. I could’ve sworn one time that I saw Toto and Dorothy come zooming by. I was really afraid that Reavis might end up in Austin with the way the wind was blowing.

I told her not to get too high over the hurdles because if a gust of wind hit just right and she was too high on the hurdle then she might get swept away. The distance events (3200 and 1600) were really competitive. San Angelo Central, Llano and St. Stephens out of Austin provided some very tough competition for Danessa which she needed. This Thursday we run at Goldthwaite. Results are as follows:

Junior Varsity

Shot Put- Samantha Henry- 2nd
