Dillo Baseball starts District

The Varsity and JV Dillo baseball teams started district play this past Tuesday. The JV Beat Dublin 12-2, with good pitching,offense and defense.

Ryan Pannell got the win on the mound while the offense and defensive effort was handled by all the Dillos including Luke Cox,Will Sloan, Michael Zimmer, Clayton Perry, Tanner Wyerts,Cody Hurd, Isaac Jimenez, Zack Davis, Josh Wright and Tanner Hawkins. Next action for the JV is Friday at 4:30 p.m., at Early.

The Varsity followed suit beating Dublin 12-2. Blake Lewis got the win on the mound while cutting back on walks and getting his velocity back on track. Ryan Parks continues to swing a hot bat. Other Dillos with good offensive and defensive efforts were Trey Tinney, Ryan Pannell, Martin Vega, George Long, Koby Cisneros, Miguel Flores and Tucker Cromer. Key heads up baserunning from Hayden Oliver and Hector Jiminez enable the Dillos to run rule the Lions. The annual Mill Pond Classic was rained out.

This week the Varsity plays Brady here on Tuesday and both teams play in Early on Friday JV plays at 4:30 p.m. and Varsity plays at 7:00 p.m. See you at the park, field or track.
