Funeral services for Helen Ida Ingram, 92, Lawrence, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday March 14, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Helen died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Presbyterian Manor.

She was born Jan. 4, 1917, in Independence, KS., the daughter of Walter Joseph and Ida Mae Fletcher Murray. She worked at Stokely-Van Camp for 15 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was very involved in Bible studies and church activities.

Helen married Carl David Ingram on Jan. 29, 1936, in Coffeyville. He preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1996. A son, Larry Ingram, and a granddaughter also died earlier.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Holland, San Saba, Texas; Sharon White, Franklin, Tenn. and Barbara “Jody” Hackathorn, Lawrence; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family greeted friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the mortuary.

The family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association or to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary.
