Edith Gatliff Angerstein

Edith Gatliff Angerstein, 89, of Brownwood, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood. She was born August 31, 1919 in Odom, Texas, the Daughter of Sam Gatliff and Molly Alma Hall Gatliff. Edith loved gardening, camping, fishing, cooking and dancing. Her greatest love was her family and friends.

Edith is survived by her sons, Delbert Edward Angerstein and his wife, Debbie of Dexter, NM; Frank Lloyd Angerstein and his wife, Brenda of Early; William Bruce Angerstein and his wife, Barbara of Early; her daughters, Eddie Faye Hudson and her husband, Douglas of Twin Bridges, Montana; Judy Lorraine Sykora and her husband, Louis of Brownwood; Jo Ann Loyd of Brownwood and Donna Louise Ratliff and her husband, Jack of Granbury. Edith is also survived by 26 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Garland Lee Green; one brother, Fran Eddie Gatliff; three sisters, Ethel Hyatt; Ellen Bloodworth; Fay Bessent and one adopted step-daughter, Charlene Sutton.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral home with Rev. David Barnum officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
