The Lady Dillo Softball team played Evant last week and came up short. They hit the ball great, but defense was weak. Some of our players were still playing basketball. Had some really bright spots. Turned a triple play, and Soph. Brittany Moreno hit a homerun. Only the 2nd one in Dillo history. This is our 4th year and the program is still building. Score was 24-14.

The team traveled to Hico for a 3 day tournament and lost to 3A Whitney 2-12, lost to Hico 5-12, lost to Meridian 8-17, then had a great victory against Rio Vista 7-4.

The weather was beautiful on Thursday and Friday, but Saturday morning saw a cold north wind. The girls played a great game against Meridian, jumping out to 8-0 lead, but then had some errors and Meridian came back and outscored us in the 2nd. We saw some great hits and plays during the victory against Rio Vista. Be sure and come out this week and next when the Lady Dillos will be playing at home on March 3rd, 6th, and 10th.

The girls are also having a fundraiser until March 10th. They are selling raffle tickets. Some of the local businesses have donated some wonderful items to be raffled off on Tuesday, March 10th at our 1st district game against Dublin.
