We still have had no rain to report. I know the Lord knows what He is doing and will send us rain in His time. Every day brings us one day closer to the much needed moisture.

I completely forgot to report on the Busy Bee quilters last week. There were six members present including, Fay and Gloria Lusty, Marilyn Miller, Irene Hammett, Carol Orr and Grace Hardman. I always go down and visit with the ladies and keep up with the note-taking, but I don’t quilt anymore. They worked on the quilt for VFD and will bring it back again next month. Fay Lusty will be bringing the next one.

The 42 tournament at Winchell was cancelled due to illness. The next one will be March 13th at Richland Springs.

Marilyn and I attended the community meeting last Saturday night. Jerald Weatherman presided over the meeting in the absence of the president, Bobby Deeds. There were 13 in attendance. We will have a gospel singing on March 21st at 7:00 PM. Tell all of your friends who enjoy singing or just listening to come and join us. Piano players, or any other musicians, are always needed and welcomed.

There are some plans in the works to try to have a Cowboy Church at the community center sometime in the future. It will be discussed further at the April community meeting. We would sure appreciate more community participation at these meetings.

Concerning our sick friends and neighbors, Wilma Lee is home for the time being and responding well to her treatments. At this time, David Evans is doing all right. June McPherson has been diagnosed with leukemia and is receiving treatments in Abilene. Junior Evans is still not feeling very well. We want to keep all of these folks in our prayers.

Marilyn and Bethany Suber were among those to journey over to Harper last Friday night to watch the Richland Springs Lady Coyotes defeat the Lady Rock Crushers from Knippa by a score of 53-42. The Lady Coyotes now take on their neighbors from Rochelle Tuesday night in Goldthwaite. The Varsity Coyotes will face Jonesboro after the girls game. Good luck to both teams. They have done really well to advance this far into the playoffs.
