Virginia Anne Weatherby Parker

Virginia Anne Weatherby Parker, 60, of San Saba, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born on December 15, 1948, in San Saba, the daughter of Bert Weatherby and Nelda Lewis Weatherby. She was born on her mother’s birthday and named after her grandmothers, Virginia Estep Lewis and Annie Weatherby. On July 11, 1970 Anne Weatherby and David Parker were married in San Saba, Texas. She attended the First United Methodist Church. Anne and David were past retail store owners of Harry’s Department Store for 22 years.

Anne is survived by her husband, David Parker of San Saba; her mother, Nelda Weatherby of San Saba; her son, Alan David Parker and his wife, Emily of Ruidoso, N.M.; her daughter, Rev. Alicia Anne Harker and her husband, Rev. Joseph of Wiley; her grandchildren, Jonathan David Harker and Sarah Christine Harker; her brother, Marvin Weatherby and his wife, Cynthia of San Saba; her sister, Gail Weatherby and her husband, Andy Sieverman of Austin. Anne is also survived by her aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Anne is preceded in death by her father, Bert Weatherby and her grandparents.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robin Pearcy officiating. Interment will follow at High Valley Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or San Saba Volunteer EMS.
