San Saba EMS needs YOU!
Thursday, February 26, 2009 • Posted February 26, 2009

San Saba EMS Volunteers are a familiar sight around town. Sometimes you see them in stores, in restaurants, at work, or even in Church, in their uniforms. That’s because staffing two ambulances full time...24/7/365...takes a lot of people. Actually, for two ambulances, there are 4,380twelve hour shifts per year. If San Saba City/County had to pay ALL these volunteers $15.00 per hour per shift, it would be quite costly...Do the Math!

San Saba county would be hit hard without an EMS service. Not having an EMS service in the county would hurt the community for all the obvious reasons, but the effects it would have on the people contemplating moving to San Saba would be devastating to our community.

Obviously, WE NEED EMS, but WHAT IS IT WORTH TO YOU? Is it worth giving some of your time to volunteer to help your neighbor? Our EMS motto is "Neighbor helping Neighbor!" The question is WILL YOU HELP?

EMS doesn’t want your money...we want your time. There is no charge to you for the EMS training. You must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma to enroll in the class.

Classes will begin April 6th and last approximately two months. For more information or to sign up...Call 372-6016 or contact any EMS volunteer.WHAT DO YOU SAY, SAN SABA COUNTY?
