Margaret Smith passed away Friday, February 13, 2009. She was born to Ben Lively and Ethel Lenora Baxter Lively, on September 22, 1915 in Bend, Texas. Lloyd Smith and Margaret Lively were married on May 9, 1935 in Llano, Texas. Margaret attended the Church of Christ.

Margaret is survived by one son, Lloyd (Sam) Smith, Jr. of Bend; one daughter, Angela Vernon and her husband, Harold of Lavernia; two grandchildren, Tonya Vernon and Amanda Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers and four sisters.

Services were held Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Williams Boyd officiating. Interment followed at the Chappel Cemetery.

The family received friends on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Donor’s Favorite Charity.
