Kathryn Gage, 91, of San San Saba passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009, at a local care Facility. Kathryn was born January 5, 1918 in Fairview Community, San Saba County, TX, the daughter of Claude Golden and Maude Johnson Golden.

On October 1, 1940 Jim Gage and Kathryn Golden were married at the First Baptist Church of San Saba and enjoyed 68 yrs. of marriage. She was an active member and dedicated Sunday School Worker in the Young Adult Couples Class and Children’s Beginner Departments of the First Baptist Church in San Saba for many years.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Jim Gage of San Saba; two sons, Dr. E. Dean Gage and his wife, Kathy of College Station; Mike Gage and his wife, Deadra of Corsicana; five grandchildren, Michelle Wilding and her husband, David of Rockwall; Nicole Wells and her husband, David of Houston; Julie Williams and her husband, Cliff of Willis; Debbie Gage of College Station; John Gage of Corsicana; four great-grandchildren, Grace and Hope Wilding of Rockwall; Caleb Gage Wells and Jackson Wells of Houston; Carter Cage Williams of Willis; two brothers, Doyle Golden of Ft. Worth; Jack Golden of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Golden; Frank Golden; and one sister, Mildred Powell.

Services were held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2:30 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Reid Officiating.

The family received friends, Saturday, February 14th 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba City Cemetery Building Fund.
