The San Saba 5th & 6th grade boys improved their season record to 3-2 as they defeated the Burnet Green (2-3) by a score of 33 to 9.

The Dillos hit three 3 pointers in the first quarter to jump to a quick 11-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Dillos would increase the lead to 19-2 at halftime. It would be 27-4 at the end of the third quarter.

Scoring for the Dillos was John Faught with 11 points, Garrett Welch 10 points, John Welch 8 points, Holt Oliver and Logan Guidroz with 2 points each.

Ridge Smith continues to improve each week at the post position and is the teams leading shot blocker. Brendon Bush contributes at both ends of the floor consistently while Carter Eden continues to improve also.

John Welch is quickly developing into a solid point guard and does a great job handling the ball for the Dillos.

The Dillos will play a double header next Saturday, Feb. 21st in Burnet at R. J. Richey Middle School. Games will be at 10 a.m. and at 12 noon.
