A representative from the National Weather Service in San Angelo will be in Cherokee Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria to train fire department personnel in a severe weather class. We have obtained permission to open it up to the general public. Very good information will be presented on which clouds and types of weather to be concerned. Cherokee VFD would like to extend this invitation to you.

Flora Bowden was treated to a fried chicken lunch last week for Valentines Day. Those treating Flora were Diane Scott, Janeice Duggan and Jane Randolph. Wardell also stopped for a visit. It was also Wardell’s birthday.

There will be a meeting at the Civic Center in San Saba on February 24 for the Friends of the NRA . For more information, call Speedy LaFond at 622-4393.

Clyde (Skinny) Estep is in the Llano Hospital.

Bob and Barbara Johnson from Minnesota are visiting Avery and Maurine Johnson. They will be going to Mexico next week on a Mission Trip. If you have news, drop it off at Cherokee Grocery or send it to sroad@centex.net
