Heritage Day Canning Contest reveals winners

The Heritage Day Canning Contest was a great success. The judges had a very difficult time judging the talents of the San Saba County ladies due to the excellent quality of each entry.

The winners were as follows:

Jam -

1st Place - Kathy Hardin

2nd Place - Tami Lusty

3rd Place - Imogene Hawkins

Jelly -

All three Places - Margie Lindley

Preserves -

1st & 2nd Place - Jeanna Sauer

3rd Place - Lucy Wilson

Vegetable Pickles -

1st Place - Tami Lusty

2nd Place - Imogene Hawkins

3rd Place - Chris Sears

Vegetables -

1st Place - Sandra Parks

2nd & 3rd Place - Lucy Wilson

Fruit -

1st Place - Tami Lusty

2nd Place - Imogene Hawkins

3rd Place - Lucy Wilson

Canned Fruit -

1st Place - Tami Lusty

2nd Place - Imogene Hawkins

3rd Place - Lucy Wilson

Youth Division -

Leanne Perry - Jelly

Congratulations to everyone who won. Thanks to everyone who participated in making the Heritage Day Canning Contest a great success; you should be very proud of your canning talents. Also, a big "Thank You" goes to the judges who had the difficult job of selecting the winners.
