Armadillo Basketball

On January 15th, the Ballinger Bearcats came to town. At that time they were undefeated in District play. As of January 21st, they are still undefeated at 7-0. The Armadillos played 3 quarters of pretty good basketball, but in the 3rd quarter, the Bearcats got the best of us and ended up beating us by a score of 66-51.

At the end of the 1st quarter, the score was tied at 16. By the end of the half, Ballinger led 33-21. The Bearcats had a 15 point lead at the end of the 3rd, outscoring the Dillos 18-8. In the 4th quarter, the Armadillos played Ballinger even with each team scoring 15. Individual scoring for the Armadillos is as follows: John Henry, 14 points – 2 three pointers, Robert Pulatie, 14 points – one three pointer, Travis Hawkins- 12 points, Casey Phillips – 5 points, J Miles – 4 points, and Daniel Cisneros – 2 points.

On January 18th, the Armadillos traveled to Wall to take on the Hawks. The Hawks were victorious, beating the Armadillos 58-34. Individual scoring for the Dillos: J Miles – 11 points, 3 three pointers, Robert Pulatie – 7 points, Derek Sears – 4 points, 1 three pointer, Travis Hawkins – 4 points, Daniel Cisneros – 3 points, 1 three pointer, John Henry – 3 points, 1 three pointer.

The Armadillos traveled to Jim Ned to take on the Indians, and will host Coleman on Friday, January 25th.
