The San Saba Tennis Team played in the San Angelo Tennis Tournament on Friday, February 6. There were six teams playing in the tournament, San Saba, San Angelo JV, Lakeview JV, Wall, Ozona, and Reagon County.

Tayler Hibler swept through the A Girls Singles winning all three of her matches to win the Girls Singles Championship. Lauren Dawson came in 6th place in A Girls Singles. In A Girls Doubles Regan Hartranft and Ariela De Giuli came in second place. Courtney Pryor and Bianca Dawson came in 4th Place and Kelli Cox and Kristen Jordan came in 7th place in Girls Doubles. In A Boys Singles Diego Gonzales came in 3rd Place. Diego lost a tough match in the semifinals to Bryan Hettick of Wall losing in a 3rd set tie-breaker 10 to 7. Marshall McIntosh came in 10th place and D.J. McKinney came in 11th place in A Boys Singles. In B Boys Singles Romero Franco came in 6th place. In A Boys Doubles Houston Casco and Josh Raiford won consolation. Ryan Plumley and Alex Rangel came in 10th place.

On February 10th the tennis team will play Gatesville in San Saba on Tuesday and on Saturday, February 14th San Saba will play Killeen High School in Killeen at 8:00 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m. San Saba will play Copperas Cove at Copperas Cove High School.These matches will help us get ready for the regional team tennis tournament on March 6-7.
