Sue Young, 68, of Richland Springs passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1940 in Richland Springs, the daughter of Ross Crane and Robbie Elliot. In February 1960 Huey Pierce Young and Sue Crane were married in Odessa. Huey preceded Sue in death on March 12, 1993. She attended the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son Carl Young and his wife Lisa of Richland Springs; two daughters: Virginia Johnson; Elizabeth Roper and her husband Bill Johnson all of Brownwood; eight grandchildren: Jeremy Young, Corey Young, Colten Young, Joe Knowles and his wife Jennifer, Martin Knowles and his wife Terah, Brandon Knowles and Stacie Baker, Josh Knowles and his wife Liz, Ray Roper and his wife Monica Salazar; four great-great grandchildren: Cyrus Roper, Jayden Roper, Paige Knowles, Bailey Knowles; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Robert Crane.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Fikes officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Springs Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Richland Springs Cemetery Association.
