Elm Grove Echoes
Thursday, February 12, 2009 • Posted February 12, 2009

We finally registered a little rain Sunday night when the front came through. We received .5 here in Richland and .4 out at Elm Grove. We are still in dire need of stock water.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Busy Bee quilting day. The club will be working on the quilt for the VFD raffle.

The 42 tournament will be Saturday night at Winchell. The community meeting will be February 21st at 7:30 P.M. Hostesses will be Bonnie Evans and Kitty Cummings.

I accompanied Marilyn and Michael Suber to Odessa last Saturday to visit Michael’s dad, G.H. Suber. Michael’s aunt and uncle, Fred and Idell Sellman joined us for lunch. We had a long, but good day. The countryside out there looks a lot like it does here, very dry. Rain is needed all over.

Emily Mask gave us a news item this week. Her grandson, Mason Reichenau, recently went to Orlando, Florida with his soccer team from Brownwood. They placed 8th in the nation, out of 28 teams. I think that is great! Mason’s mom, Kari, accompanied him on the trip.

Kirstin Reichenau recently competed in a gymnastics meet at Brownwood High School and brought home 3 gold medals. Congratulations to both kids. Emily and Mode have every right to be proud and we thank Emily for the information.
