On February 4, 2009 the members of the Richland Springs First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) CWF met for their monthly meeting. The meeting was held in the fellowship hall of the church. Before the business meeting they were served by Christy Crisp, Martha Bush and Vicki Eden.

At 6:35 p.m. Georganna Sonnenberg called the business meeting to order. Vicki Eden was asked to read the minutes of the January meeting. Those minutes were approved by all. Bobbie Adams then gave the treasury’s report and that was also approved.

There was no old business to discuss. New business was the fellowship dinner that has been planned for February 15. Discussion and plans for the dinner menu was held.

Georganna passed out calendars she had prepared through the month of May. They reviewed the calendars and planned upcoming events throughout the Lenten and Easter season.

An Ash Wednesday Service with a snack supper following will be held. A fellowship dinner and Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday was planned.

Also planned was a Maundy Thursday service with a snack supper following.

Georganna has been in touch with Mr. Fowler and plans for the Baccalaureate service for the senior class will be made as that time approaches.

The next meeting will be on March 4, 2009. Scheduled to serve at the March meeting is Georganna, Bobbie and Sue. The study in March will be of Salome, the mother of James and John.

After the business meeting Georganna led the group in the study of Pilate’s wife.
