Chris Sears

Chris Sears, 55, of San Saba passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008. She was born in Worchester Ohio, the daughter of William Frontz and Sally Warnes. In 1974, Chris Frontz and Del Sears were married in Bay City, Texas. In 1974, she became a licensed dental hygienist from the University of Texas dental school in Houston, Texas.

Chris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an invaluable partner in the dental practice that she and Del began together over 30 years ago. At home, Chris was a personal chef and chauffeur to Derek and Nicole. Chris attended every one of their athletic games and supported them in every endeavor. Chris was patient and fun loving, as was demonstrated in the time she spent with her grandchildren, Sydney and Stone. She delighted in playing with them and showing them all the beauty to be found in the world.

In her free time, Chris loved nature and wildlife. She was a member of the Master Gardeners’ Society. She helped in the design and planting of the Patriot Garden at Mill Pond Park. She has also been in charge of maintaining the landscaping at the First United Methodist Church. Chris was also involved in the school district as well. She volunteered her time with the Booster Club and spent many hours helping in after school events. She was much loved in her community.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Del Sears, of San Saba; three children: Scott and his wife, Shandell Sears, of Georgetown; and Derek and Nicole Sears of San Saba; her mother, Sally, and her husband, Gordan Warnes, of Georgetown., TX; her father, William Frontz of Palacios, TX; three grandchildren: Stone and Sydney Sears and Haley Harrison of Georgetown; two brothers, Bill Frontz and his wife, Jeanette, of Bay City, TX, and Randy Frontz of Bay City, TX; two nieces, Daryn Polanco and her husband, Marc, and Erica Sylvester and her husband, Jamie; and one nephew, Matt Frontz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in San Saba with Rev. Robin Pearcy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church, Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 10:00 – 12:00 Noon.

The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba County EMS or the First United Methodist Church in San Saba.

Services under the direction of the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba.
