Margie Hale, 70, of San Saba, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at her home in San Saba. She was born January 7, 1938 in Cyclone TX the daughter of George Zucha and Vlasta Janicek Zucha. In 1955 Marjorie Magline Zucha and Bobby Higginbotham were united in marriage, he later preceded her in death. On March 25, 1984 Clive Al Hale and Marjorie Higginbotham were married in Las Vegas NV. He preceded her in death December 21, 2001. In February of 1988 Margie became a licensed manicurist from the Oxnard Beauty College, in Oxnard, CA. After returning to Texas Margie worked as an Activity Director at the Eventide Nursing Home and later became a licensed nurses aid. She was a member of The Fathers House in San Saba.

Survivors include two sons: Gary Higginbotham and wife Dianne of San Saba, and Rocky Higginbotham of San Saba; eight grandchildren: Kris Higginbotham of Waco, TX; Rusty Higginbotham of San Saba; Brandon Higginbotham and his wife, Laura, of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Chase Higginbotham of Mr. Pleasant, TX; Josh Higginbotham of Richland Springs, TX; and Cory, Aaron and Britney Rixse, all of San Saba; three sisters: Barbara Jean Pickett and her husband, Freeman Lee, of Gonzales, TX; Patsy Gardner and her husband, Ed, of Lampasas; and Virginia Kraatz of Katy, TX.; one brother, Patrick Zucha and his wife, Leticia, of Bastrop; and one sister-in-law, Ann Zucha of Santa Fe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Bobby Higginbotham and Al Hale, and two brothers, George Zucha Jr. and Joe Zucha.

Services were held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Rev.Tom Brand officiating and Rev. Richard Vandeventer assisting. Internment followed at the Terry Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made at the City National Bank to The Mission San Saba, a fund established to help remodeling of needed homes in San Saba.

Services were under the direction of the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba.
