It was announced that the devil would offer his tools for sale.

He attractively displayed Deceit, Envy, Hatred, Lust and Malice. But a harmless-looking, more expensive, and much-worn tool was laid to one side.

"Why?" asked a follower.

"That's Discouragement," said the devil. "It's priced higher because it's more useful. I can get inside a man's heart with it when I can't get near him with the others."

Discouragement...it's ingratitude for God's goodness and indifference to God's power.

If you look up trustfully into the face of God, you won't break down tragically in the face of despair.
