Mary Leticia Reyes

Mary Leticia Reyes, 46, of Richland Springs, passed away Friday January 30, 2009 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1962 in Coleman, the daughter of James Moore and Mary Beth Stuart Moore. On January 31, 1981 Leticia married Alexander Reyes at the Christian Church in Richland Springs. Leticia was employed by San Saba News from 1983-2004 and was the newspaper Editor. She was a former member of the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce; was active in 4-H Club Membership; graduated from Richland Springs High School in 1980 and was a member of the St. Luke Episocapal Church.

Leticia is survived by her husband, Alexander (Alex) Reyes of Richland Springs; her mother, Mary Beth Moore of Richland Springs; one son, Justin Bryan Reyes and his wife Alayna of Henderson; one daughter, Jessica Lea Reyes of LaPorte; one brother, James Moore and his wife Kiesha of Richland Springs; one sister, Rebecca Hanak and her husband, Joe of Houston; three sister-in-laws, Olivia Valles and husband, Raymond of Lampasas; Olga Cantu and her husband, Tony of San Saba; Oleta Behrens and her husband, Steve of San Saba; mother and father-in-law Jesus and Celia Reyes of San Saba, and several nieces and nephews.

Leticia is preceded in death by her father, James Moore and one nephew, Nicki Valles.

Services were held Monday, February 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Rev. W.C. Grusendorf officiating. Interment followed at Richland Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lynn Till, Aleck Newby, Mike Pappas, Max Cox, Zach Schoch, Tom Murray, and Joe Schoch.

The family received friends Sunday, February 1st from 4:30-6:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home.

The family requests the memorials be made to St. Lukes Episcopal Church.
