San Saba 5th and 6th Grade Boys Basketball

The San Saba 5th & 6th grade boys upped their season record to 2-0 as they traveled to Lampasas and defeated the Burnet Bulldogs by a score of 26 to 10.

The Dillos took a 16 to 3 lead into halftime which saw John Faught pour in 8 points in the first half. Garrett Welch finished with a game high 14 points followed by Holt Oliver and Brendon Bush with 2 points each.

Ridge Smith is quickly developing into a solid post while Logan Guidroz and Carter Eden continue to contribute consistently.

Starting guard John Welch was unable to participate due to an illness.

Up next for the Dillos will be a double header, at noon, the Dillos will face Burnet and then they will follow with a tough challenge as they will take on an undefeated Lampasas All-Star Select Team which has just dominated the competition. Both teams are undefeated and will clash at 2 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 7, at R. J. Richey Middle School in Burnet.
