The San Saba Tennis Team played in the Copperas Cove JV Invitational on January 29, 2009. San Saba entered a mixer of JV and Varsity players in the tournament. There were 19 teams entered in the tournament. The 19 teams were Belton,Cedar Park, Copperas Cove, Gatesville, Converse Wagner, Killeen Ellison, Killeen Shoemaker, Killeen Harker Heights, Lampasas, Pflugerville, PflugervilleConnally, Pflugerville Hendrickson, Round Rock, San Saba, Liberty Hill, Waco Robinson, Waco High, Temple, and Llano. Playing for San Saba were Kelli Cox,Ariela De Giuli, Lauren Dawson, Alex Rangel, Romero Franco, Courtney Pryor, D.J. McKinney, Bianca Dawson, Kristen Jordan, Houston Casco and Josh Raiford.

On February 6, the Varsity and JV Teams will travel to San Angelo to play in the West Texas Tennis Championships hosted by San Angelo Central.

Round of 32: Kelli Cox lost to Caitlyn Thibodeaux ( Llano) 8-4
