Joyce Bogard Boynton

Joyce Bogard Boynton, 91 of San Saba passed away Wednesday January 21, 2009 at a local care facility. Joyce was born on May 14, 1917 in Richland Springs, Texas, the daughter of John Henry Bogard and Frances Stafford Bogard. Joyce worked as a hairdresser. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and attended the First Baptist Church.

Joyce is survived by one son, David Brinkley and his wife Mary of San Saba; five grandchildren, Lori Vega and her husband Richard; Michael Brinkley; Gary Brinkley; Jimmy Bogard, and Carleton Bogard; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Zachary; and one sister-in-law, Juverna Bogard of Lampasas.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husbands, one son, Gary Brinkley; two great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.

Services were held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Crosby. Interment was at the High Valley Cemetery.

The family received friends, Friday, January 23rd from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of San Saba.
