David McPherson, 68, of San Saba passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Llano Memorial Hospital. He was born August 25, 1940 in Hamilton, Texas, the son of Forrest McPherson and Frances Rudd McPherson. David worked as a Livestock Inspector. He attended the Church of Christ.

David is survived by his wife, Mary McPherson of San Saba; his mother, Frances McPherson of Hamilton; one brother, Rex McPherson and his wife Susan of Poteet; two sisters, Nancy McPherson of Salado; Winnie Marie and her husband Fred of Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at the Pottsville Public Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba Volunteer County EMS or to the American Cancer Society.
