Opal Jane Scott, 86, of San Saba passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Opal was born October 30, 1922 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert Myers and Pearl Graham Myers. Opal attended the Baptist Church.

Opal is survived by one daughter, Anna Wilson and her husband Ralph of San Saba. Six grandchildren, Nick Ward and his wife Stephanie; Gina Ward; Leighanna Moore and her husband Robert; Ted Lucas; Brett Lucas; and Gregg Lucas. Twelve great-grandchildren, Dustin Lucas; Shanna Lucas; Bretyle Lucas; Adrianna Clark; Jack Moore; Ashleigh Moore; Barbara Wilson; Jason Ward; Nancy Ward; Joe Ward; Will Kenney; and Chance Kenney; one great-great- grandchild, Mylee Lucas. One brother, Bob Myers of Oklahoma; three sisters, Frances Reagan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Julia Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Margaret Copenhaver of Sayre, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

Opal is preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, Darren Lucas; one granddaughter, Tammy Ward and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas with Rev. Stephen Parker officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmwood Memorial Cemetery.
