Robert Owen Cook, 50, of Andrews passed away Sunday December 28, 2008 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday December 30, 2008 at Andrews Church of Christ. Rev. Phillip Golden of Denver City, Texas officiated. Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Wednesday December 31, 2008 at Holt Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.

Owen was born October 31, 1958 in Hobbs, NM. His family moved to Andrews in 1960 from Hobbs.

Owen Graduated from Andrews High School and attended Tarlton State University.

Owen married Tammie Price May 21, 1983 in Andrews. He worked for Basic Energy Services and he really enjoyed his work. Owen was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ.

Owen loved to hunt and fish and ride motorcycles. He was a big sports fan, loved to watch football and a loyal supporter of the Andrews Mustangs, coached Little league baseball for many years, and loved to cook.

Owen was preceded in death by his father, Jack Cook, Sr.; a grandson - Payton Cook; and his grandparents - Ernest and Iva Mae Gober.

Owen is survived by his wife, Tammie Cook of Andrews; daughter, Amanda Pyle and husband Josh of Lubbock; son, Zane Cook of Midland; his mother, Yvonne Cook of Andrews; Brother, J. Randall Cook and his wife Sandra of Muscat, Omahn; one granddaughter, Avery Pyle of Lubbock; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Paralee Price of Andrews; and one brother-in-law, Will and his wife Anja Price of Arizona.
