The 5th/6th grade San Saba Junior Lady Dillos (6-4) have

quietly established themselves as tournament title contenders.

The Lady Dillos finished in third place in the eight team field of the Goldthwaite Tournament held on March 2, only behind tournament champion San Saba 6th Grade JLD and runner-up, Bangs Lady Dragons.

On March 9, the Lady Dillos took part in the six team field of the Priddy Tournament and marched their way to the tournament championship game and finished in second place behind tournament champ, San Saba 6th Grade JLD.

On the way to the championship game, the Lady Dillos picked up an impressive and exciting win in the semi-final round of the tournament over the Gatesville Excel, 12-4, to advance to the very monumental tournament championship game in which two teams from the same school would contend for the tournament title. The Lady Dillos are led offensively by guards, Bailee Franks and Kira Moore. Atrel Carlisle is a top defender while Kylee Eckermann is the top rebounder.

Team members are, Atre Carlisle, Kira Moore, Jillian Whitman, Tori Moreno, Bailee Franks, Tina Cazares, Callie Hammett and Kylee Eckermann. The Lady Dillos will be participating in the San Saba Tournament this Saturday, March 23, and will open up tournament play at 12:45 p.m. against the Hamilton Lady Bulldogs.
